    The Opportunity

    We are seeking commercially-minded, self-motivated, Sr. Business Analyst -Data in China, reporting to the Director, ITBP, China, to be based in our Beijing office. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the full delivery life cycle of data related solution: requirements, design, development, implementation, production support and performance tuning of the system environments. Local applications’ data architecture and asset management will be the key areas for this role to play, i.e. define the game rule for China Customer Data requirement, design and develop data enabled applications, by leveraging Data Lake capability and ensure all local data components can be well flowed into data warehouse, for data unification, customer profiling, audience segmentation, personalized engagement, etc.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    ? Works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across Cochlear to clearly, identify opportunities and challenges that can be addressed with Data Analytics solutions.

    ? Participates in the translation of opportunities and problems into clear experimental designs that can be addressed quantifiably with data and corresponding tools including input into business cases as required.

    ? Develops and showcases advanced analytics to support business outcomes and address stakeholder requirements.

    ? Demonstrates expert level of knowledge in Data Analytics technologies.

    ? Be an expert of business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, investigate complex problems, and lead the delivery team to develop and implement the right solutions.

    ? Articulate cost, budget, solution requirements and required integration across existing and/or proposed applications, systems, and platforms to contribute to the Business Outcome Document (business case).

    ? Map and align initiatives with Cochlear’s persistent story maps to improve understanding of the changes, lead demand shaping events with cross-functional team(s) (i.e. across regions, global work, and across teams/departments) and assure the agreed upon value is delivered to the organization throughout the delivery lifecycle.

    ? Viewed as an expert on the process and best practices for conducting requirements practices in your organization. Analyses business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable, secure and operable solutions.

    ? Participates in the workstream of Global delivery Lifecycle process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions.

    ? Participates in the creation and maintenance of Business Outcome Documents and other deliverables required to meet process control points.

    ? Plans and manages sprint scope and deliverables.

    ? Builds real-time, reliable, scalable, secure, high-performing, operable, systems.

    ? Implements tools and frameworks for automating report generation, identification of data-quality issues, and data governance.

    ? Develops best practices for data collection, processing and structuring.

    ? Defines and communicates best practices for Data & Analytics development.

    ? Provides quality and timely end user support. Keeps customer informed about business intelligence tool problems and resolutions.

    ? Maintains and optimises production systems. Investigates and resolves incidents in a timely manner. Identifies opportunities to automate, consolidate and simplify platform.

    ? Maintains operational excellence of the team to ensure high quality methods to gather and manage large datasets from multiple sources, transforming or cleaning data as necessary to improve data accuracy, viability and value.

    ? Takes ownership of problems in the business area of responsibility and ensure formal closure of the problem record.

    You Bring Your Skills and Experience

    As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience:

    Key Incumbent requirements:

    ? Minimum 5 years experience with data warehousing and building data pipelines with ELT/ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend, similar years experience in designing and developing dashboards using tableau,Power BI and/or OBIEE to visualise data

    ? Strong business analysis and problem solving skills, high level & detailed solution design and implementation

    ? Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to interact with users at all levels

    ? Demonstrated project discipline and experience. Organised, focused and driven toward established deliverable dates

    ? Good understanding of data structures, data modeling and database schema

    ? Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective

    ? Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent

    ? Adaptability to learn new technologies, tools and ways of doing things


    Ideal:

    ? Knowledge of Data lake and datawarehouse concepts and design methodology

    ? Experience in Oracle BI Apps and Informatica Powercenter

    ? Has been a member of an agile CI/CD squad within a DevOps practice

    ? Ability to code and interpret complex algorithms

    ? Demonstrated experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies
